Conference Update

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again soon up at George Town for Connected Communities.

One of our keynote speakers, Debbie Mayo-Smith, will be beginning her work with us in the coming week.  Debbie will be in touch with all the people registered for the conference to provide some pre-conference thinking.  This is all about helping us to get the most out of the skills, knowledge and experience that she brings.  So get your registrations in as soon as you can.

You can register individually at the TryBooking website

Or make group bookings using the spreadsheet on the Conference webpage.

You asked for it – a new conference dinner theme!

If you have a ‘George’ character worked out, stick with it, the ‘Best Imagination Award’ will go to the best George or Georgina.

We have heard others are struggling with the theme, so here it is – reviewed, renewed revamped, revised and… risky?  The theme is “G – no strings attached” – so you can do anything you like that is associated in some (small way) with a word beginning with ‘G’.

Have fun making your preparations.  No responsibility is taken for the ‘costume’ of out illustrious leader.

See you there, with bells (and other things) on!

5 in 10 Presentations.

Looking to share your inspiring story of change or success in an activity at a Neighbourhood House?  Five slides and ten minutes  is your opportunity to have a go at getting up in front of your friends at the NHT Conference. Thanks to all those who have submitted their desire to participate.  We have space for a couple more.  Here’s the information sheet.  Please express interest by 8 September.
