Burnie Community House
The Burnie Community House is committed to providing opportunities to the community and provides a meeting place for company, advice and support. We are able to provide a range of services for all individuals and families. For any enquiries please call the House.
We are registered as a NILS agency and can assist you to fill out your forms etc.
If you have trouble getting into Burnie town centre, we can arrange for Housing Tasmania and Centrelink community officers to meet with you for appointments at the Community House.
The following are available with a booking; telephone, library, computers, internet, overhead projector, white boards, TV’s, fax, vided/DVD player and photocopier for use by the community and service providers.
Our small Pre-loved shop sells clothes and other items at a cost of $2 per item.
Some of the programs running at the Community House are cooking classes for men, cooking classes for women, GROW group for people suffering from depression and anxiety, Parenting Program for parents and children in the 0-5 year age group, mosaic classes, Eating with Friends each fortnight, Country craft for adults, Kids craft and cooking after school each Tuesday, Kids in the Park each Wednesday after school and much more, so pop in or give us a call for more information we would love to hear from you.
