Kate Beer has stepped down as NHT President.

Hello everyone,

The Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania Board is saddened to advise you that on the 21st May, Kate Beer stepped down as NHT’s President and Board Member.

Kate has decided to take some well deserved leave and spend some time with her daughter and granddaughter. We are sure that she will also take some time to watch her beloved Collingwood when the AFL is eventually up and running again!

We wish to acknowledge some of the wonderful things achieved during Kate’s 11 years on our Board including:

The 35 Neighbourhood Houses across Tasmania and their Peak Body, Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania (NHT) are celebrating Neighbourhood House Week from 11th to 15th May 2020. Our theme for the week is “#togetherwearetheanswer”. This reflects our commitment to working together to support our communities and build a brighter future for all. Neighbourhood Houses and Centres across Australia are also celebrating this week.

NHT acknowledges the traditional and original owners of the land on which we work and meet, the palawa / pakana of lutruwita / Tasmania. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and acknowledge that this land remains unceded.
